 Diffuse Photoelectric Sensor with Background Suppression, 25 – 300 mm Range

A capable diffuse photoelectric block style sensor, with built-in background suppression and a detecting range of 25 to 300 mm. A class 2 pulsed red laser diode provides the light source at a wavelength of 650 nm, and the sensing distance adjustment is achieved using the mechanical 8 turn potentiometer.  A yellow LED indicator keeps the user informed of the diffuse sensors operational status.

Built to last the rigours of the processing environment with the robust die-cast zinc construction and glass optics, complete with an M12 4 pin connector. This diffuse photoelectric laser sensor can be directly installed using the 3 through holes provided for M4 screws or a dedicated mounting bracket This Sensor must always be aimed at the target and moving parts must approach the laser beam laterally.

Operating voltage is 10 to 30 VDC, with a light/dark output function with a PNP output circuit. Short circuit protection and reverse polarity protection are built-in. To detect the position of object edges precisely, a bright and mat background should be installed at a maximum distance of 300 mm from the sensor. For the detection of very small and thin objects, a dark background at great distance is preferred; the background should reflect as little light as possible back to the receiver.
